Key security initiative
At DSP BlackRock, Mihir Joshi implemented Data Leak Prevention (DLP) solution for email and endpoints. This helped the organization to track/monitor/block the data violation to make sure CIA triage is maintained. This solution helped the organization in classifying data, creating policies and rolling out Data Leak Prevention department-wise.
In the second phase of the solution the organization removed excessive access rights to those files/folders tagged under Data Leak Prevention. This minimized the attack surface and ensured easy control/monitoring.
In the third phase, the organization processed keywords/keyphrases to be stamped inside confidential file. DSP BlackRock innovated this approach by stamping it in "white" colored text on white colored background, adding those keywords/keyphrases in email data leak prevention and Network data leak prevention. Also each department has different keywords and those keywords are known to only CISO, COO and business heads.
