Key Security Initiatives
Initiatives were on-boarded by Mindtree during last financial year around the security arena such as strengthening of threat protections at the web and email gateways, creation of sanity environment to prevent data proliferation and to apply controls around mobile application use. While classroom trainings and awareness sessions were being enunciated through several channels; yet ‘protection at the source’ and ‘prevention before cure’ were few areas chosen to strengthen the doors.
Advanced threat protection at the web vector was a huge success to keep the advanced threats at bay. Unequivocally, the data being siphoned off is largely through web vector and applying controls in this space was important. Cloud power was leveraged for both email and web vectors. Data leakage prevention tools were put in place with robust monitoring mechanism to curb data proliferation. Mobile application management systems were implemented to have control on corporate applications rendered by Mindtree without intruding into private space of end user’s handheld devices.
