The regional director built a solid foundation for company’s cybersecurity business in India and SAARC in his three year tenure.

Sridhar Namachivayan has quit Skybox Security. He was the India and SAARC leader of the cybersecurity company since October 2014. 30 November of 2017 was Sridhar’s last day at Skybox Security.

Sridhar is an industry veteran in security domain for nearly two decades. He has worked in senior positions with leading MNCs including FireEye, ZScaler, Iron Port (Cisco), Trend Micro and lately at Skybox Security.

With Skybox Security’s recent growth equity investment of $150 million, the company is making strategic changes to its sales team in Asia Pacific, including India. These changes will help drive growth in the region, improve customer care, and support our goal of becoming the market leader in cybersecurity management, said Avi Corfas, VP of Asia Pacific and Latin America, Skybox Security.

“Sridhar helped Skybox significantly expand its market share in India, including 154 percent revenue growth for 2017. This has helped us build a solid foundation of business in the region for the company’s continued success in 2018.”

A start-up expert, Sridhar helped many global security companies establish their presence in India. He was instrumental to set up, build and grow the business operations in India for Skybox, FireEye and Zscaler in senior leadership roles over the past decade.

“During his tenure at Skybox, Sridhar helped Skybox to significantly expand its market share in India, including

154 percent revenue growth for 2017. This has helped us build a solid foundation of business in the region and prepared the ground for the company’s continued success in 2018. We wish Sridhar well in future endeavors,” said Corfas in a statement to IDG India.

As we move into 2018, Skybox will continue to work with top-tier channel partners in India, such as Mahindra SSG, Valuepoint Techsol, Wipro and HCL, he said.

“We are seeing increased global demand for our solutions (security policy management and vulnerability management), including in India. To meet that demand, we will be seeking additional channel partners in 2018,” said Corfas.

We do not intend to blanket the region with new partners but are looking for situations in which there is business value for both parties. For example, Skybox works well with traditional security VARs who understand networking and have service capabilities — and can deliver those things to our core customers (organizations that have large, complex network across physical, virtual, cloud and even OT environments), said Corfas.

Sridhar started his career as sales manager - security, at Chennai headquartered Veeras Infotek in May 1998.
