Speaking exclusively to CSO India, Gupta spoke on his priorities in the new security landscape. He said, “Customer-centricity will continue to be our approach as we would align our offerings and solutions as per the changing needs of the customers. Building an ecosystem of technology partners is also an important focus.
Gupta’s 3 Priorities
1.Pursue a ‘customer-centric’ approach
2.Build an ecosystem of technology partners
3.Strengthen the network of security channels
We would like to strengthen our indirect route of channel partners in the modern and complex security landscape as we believe channels are the closest to the customers and they can act as the perfect security advisors to suffice their emergent need for security solutions, he adds.
“CISOs and their organizations are aware of the need for security solutions more than ever before as we have seen the number of breaches never cease to stop. Though detection is still important in the overall security conundrum, it is the detection part which becomes a big focal point for modern CISOs,” said Gupta.
“RSA’s focused strategy revolves around reprioritizing ‘prevention, detection and response’ solutions to help organizations build a robust security posture for the future, he added speaking about the value proposition of RSA.
Before joining RSA in 2012, he was regional sales director for Symantec for over a year.
