Symantec India MD Shrikant Shitole quits
Former Cisco executive Gaurav Agarwal is the new India leader at Symantec, post Shrikant Shitole's exit.
Present India MD of Symantec, Shrikant Shitole quits the company and August 25, 2017 will be his last day, confirmed Symantec's official statement.
Gaurav Agarwal, former Cisco executive, is the new sales leader for the security giant, stated Symantec.
Gaurav Agarwal is the new president of sales for Symantec India and SAARC.

Shitole joined Symantec in May 2015 as India head of the company. Shitole took the role over from Sanjay Rohatgi who was promoted to senior VP of Asia Pacific and Japan sales for Symantec.
An industry veteran, Gaurav has been appointed as president of sales, Symantec India and SAARC. Gaurav will be responsible for leading the enterprise security business for Symantec in the region, and growing the company’s presence and market position in India and SAARC said Symantec’s statement.
Gaurav is well known in the IT industry in India and has held multiple leadership roles in technology companies. Prior to joining Symantec, Gaurav led the Public Sector business for Cisco in India. Under his leadership, the business grew tremendously and he was also recognized as the “Role model People Manager” at a global level.
Before joining Cisco, Gaurav was with IBM where he held several senior management roles.
Gaurav has extensive experience working with enterprise and government customers across India and building strong motivated teams.
Gaurav has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and an MBA from IIT Delhi.
