DigitalTrack Solutions has acquired Encrust IT Solutions.
Founded in 2004, Chennai based DigitalTrack Solutions is a security systems integrator catering to the emerging needs of IT infra for organizations across the mid-market and enterprise segments.
It is true that DigitalTrack (DT) has acquired Encrust IT solutions, which is based out of Mumbai, confirmed Muneer Ahamed, Managing Director, DigitalTrack Solutions in an exclusive statement to IDG India.
Encrust IT solutions Mumbai will now operate as Mumbai branch for DigitalTrack Solutions.
Muneer Ahamed will lead the merged entity as Managing Director. Shahjahan Moosa (CEO, Encrust) will now lead as Regional Director and Vijay Iyer (CTO, Encrust) will lead as Director Service Delivery – DigitalTrack West.
Is it an acquisition of Encrust by DT or a merger of DT and Encrust? “It is both. We acquired and merged Encrust Mumbai with DT, which means that we extend our footprint in South India and now into West India," mentioned Muneer.
The objective of the merged entity is to expand DT's business in the western region. Encrust will explore more in their existing base with various other technologies and solutions, added Muneer.
On the idea behind Encrust IT Solutions becoming a part of DigitalTrack, Shahjahan Moosa, co-founder and CEO, Encrust IT Solutions said, “The merger with DT West will enable us to have new resources and capabilities to continue driving value for our customers across the entire western region. Also, we now have a wider geographical presence collectively that will benefit our customers.”

Shahjahan Moosa is an eminent name in India’s network security industry with an eighteen year experience.
“I will be driving the service delivery business for DT West as we believe that the services market has matured enough, and it is the right time to create a niche for ourselves with skilled services,” said Vijay Iyer, Director - Service Delivery, DigitalTrack Solutions West.
Our vision is to emerge as a national systems integrator with a wide geographic presence across India by 2020. The aim is to have continued focus on security, storage, network, compute and cloud, added Muneer Ahamed at DigitalTrack Solutions.

Encrust witnessed a robust growth last fiscal, and added more than 15 percent workforce, especially with its project focus on FMS.
Shahjahan will head the western India business for DT as Regional Director – West.
DT has grown from 150 member team to 180 member team in the past year and moved to bigger infrastructure in Chennai. We also added new customers in the markets of Coimbatore and Madurai, added Muneer.
What are the next big bets for security technologies in 2019?
Cloud is clearly a trend as on-premise methodology will transition to cloud with virtualized security hardware, firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention systems, said Shahjahan.
